1. Will it actually look natural?

When the shade is right — yes, that's the entire point of the shade match. The fibers rest among your own strands and take on your hair's texture and direction, so in daylight it reads as your hair, not a coating. That said: results vary with hair type and how much you apply. Start light. You can always add.

2. Where does YLO work best?

On the spots where hair tends to look thinner: a widening part line, temples, the crown, the base of a ponytail. Fibers need some of your own hair to blend with — they can't create coverage where there's no hair at all. If that's your situation, The System isn't your tool, and we'd rather tell you that now than after you've paid.

3. What about rain, wind, and sweat?

A drizzle, a breezy day, a warm commute — fine. The color is part of the fiber, so it doesn't run like a powder or tinted spray. For long days, workouts, or real rain, one mist of the Locking Spray keeps everything in place. Swimming or a full soak? That's what shampoo is for — expect to reapply after.

4. How do I get it out?

One regular shampoo. It washes out completely — no residue, no staining, no transition period. Tonight covered, tomorrow you decide again.

5. How long does the applicator last?

The YLO Applicator ships pre-filled with 27.5g of fibers — about 60 days of typical daily use. The System adds a refill bag in the same shade: 120+ days, and refilling takes about 30 seconds. If you only touch up your part line, expect it to last longer.

6. What if I pick the wrong shade?

Start with our shade guide — match your base color in daylight, and if you're between two shades, go darker: darker blends in, lighter shows. Most women match on the first try, and blending is built into how YLO works. And because The System and The Year are backed by the 60-Day Empty-Bottle Promise, if the shade still isn't right for you, you're covered for a full refund. Getting your shade right is worth the 30 seconds up front.

7. What exactly is the Empty-Bottle Promise?

Try The System for up to 60 days. If you don't love the way your hair looks, tell us — full refund. Keep everything, empty or not. (The "bottle" is your applicator — run it empty and the promise still stands.) The 60 days is your window, not a waiting period — day 5 or day 59, half-full or empty, same promise. The clock starts when your box arrives. One per customer, on your first System or Year order. No return label, no interrogation. The promise covers The System and The Year. The solo Applicator is covered by standard 30-day returns.

8. What's in it?

Natural cotton fiber and iron oxide mineral pigments — the same mineral colorants used in makeup for generations. The full ingredient list is on the product page.

9. How does shipping work?

Every order of $35 or more ships free in the US — that covers the YLO Applicator, The System, and The Year. Smaller add-on orders ship at a flat $4.95. Every order is delivered duty-paid — the price you see at checkout is final, no customs charges or surprise fees at your door. Most orders arrive within 7–12 business days, tracked the whole way.

10. Will it end up on my pillow or my collar?

Once it's settled — and especially with the Locking Spray — transfer is minimal. On a very generous first application, a little may dust off before it settles; it washes out of fabric easily. Our tip: apply, comb, then wait a minute before the white blouse.

11. Can I use it every day?

Yes. YLO is a cosmetic that rests in your hair — natural cotton fiber and iron oxide mineral pigments, the same colorants makeup has used for generations. It washes out completely with one shampoo. Use it daily, skip it whenever.

12. Does it work on colored or graying hair?

Yes — the fibers blend with color-treated hair, and Sterling handles silver. Some silver mixed in? That's a custom blend, like Espresso × Sterling — the shade guide walks you through it.

13. Do you have reviews yet?

Honest answer: we're a new brand, and we'd rather show you nothing than invent star ratings. Real reviews from real customers land here as soon as our first orders arrive — not a day before.
